Nature Jounal
John Muir

We are about to leave the land of the desert and I have decided it is time for me to start a nature journal. I purchased a nice moleskin sketchbook and cant wait to get started. Lo and behold, my oldest said that he wanted to be the head rangers of the national parks after earning our Rainbow Bridge Jr. Rangers badge. I told him that people like John Muir was a man who loved the wilderness and he kept a nature journal. john Westly Powell was also a person who learned from a mentor about nature. Milton is now all geared up to start his nature joournal. I want to sketch some of this desert before we leave to the eastern side of the USA.

On this page I am going to try and keep track of all of the things I read and study for myself and my children. This would fall under the "KEY" You-Not Them
I will list my most recent learning endeavours here at the top.

2-29-2012-Today, or should I say really late tonight I studied about how to read and plot a graph for following stocks and read a brief history of the life of Robin Hood. This is all in preparation for my new Bulletin board set up which I am starting tomorrow. If you cant tell, I am excited.

2-24-2012 I am am signed up for a free Constitution 101 "The meaning and History of the Constitution" class through Hillsdale Collage. It was 100% free and it is 10 week long course on the constitution of the United States. You might want to keep your eye out for this because they make it sound like they may be doing this again in the future. No actual credit but you receive a certificate of completion. There is even suggested additional readings and a quiz to test your comprehension at the end. Pretty cool if youask me.
